We are looking for an experienced Material Desk Accountant practitioner with an outstanding track of records to join the Finance Team at Haileybury Astana School.

Type of contract: 1 year contract with mutual prolongation

Start date: August 2024

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting for advance reports, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

2. Performs work on accounting in accordance with the requirements of current legislation in terms of accounting for fixed assets belonging to the organization, receipt of fixed assets, internal transfer of fixed assets between employees, calculation of the actual cost of fixed assets, write-off, marking, sale of fixed assets, etc.

3. Processing of primary accounting documents.

4. Carrying out Imports and other ancillary expenses.

5. Movement of incoming materials, submission of movements on paper to the procurement department to obtain signatures from the responsible persons of the departments that made the order for the purchase of materials and equipment.

6. Preparation of accounts receivable and accounts payable reports with explanations. Sending these reports to managers to collect primary documentation from suppliers. Overlapping of accounts 1610 and 3310 when reflecting amounts on these accounts at the same time.

7. Entering correct items and controlling income statement line items on management accounts.

8. Performs accounting work in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation as it relates to the receipt of services, works, third party insurance, charging them directly to the expense account or allocating them as indirect employee income, etc.

9. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual reports

10. Carry out fuel and lubricants write-offs based on travel vouchers from drivers

11. Perform monthly reconciliation of 4.10 VAT turnover in 1C accounting system with the data on received ESF.

12. To conduct inventory of school store, PPE and inventory as per accounting policy.

13. Participate in external and internal audits.

14. Draw up, reconcile and sign reconciliation reports with suppliers. In case of non-compliance identify and make adjustments.

15. Prepare powers of attorney for receipt of inventory.

16. Creation of new counterparties in 1C after agreement with the management.

17. Owns and disposes of EDS of NAO Haileybury Astana in terms of loading and sending of ESF, confirmation of ATS, SNT Virtual Warehouse.

18. Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies, address inquiries and maintain positive relationships.

19. Perform any other tasks assigned by the Chief Accountant to achieve organizational goals.

Safeguarding Health & Safety

  1. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact;
  2. Maintain good order and discipline among the pupils and safeguard their health and safety, both when they are on the school premises and when they are engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere;
  3. Be aware of school policy and procedures regarding Child Protection and Safeguarding, and attend relevant training as required.
  4. Report all causes for concern to the Designated Senior Lead;

Provide thorough risk assessments as required prior to activities and trips.

Qualification requirements and skills:

1. A person with higher professional education and at least 1 year of work experience in the specialty shall be appointed to the position of Accountant of the material desk.

2. The accountant of the material desk shall know:

- 1C Accounting program ( version 8.3)

-plan and correspondence of accounts;

-organization of document flow in this area of accounting;

-knowledge of legislative, regulatory framework, governmental resolutions, executive decisions

- rules of operation of computer equipment;

- be a user of programs Word, Exell, Outlook, Google tables and mail

-rules and norms of labor protection.

- Knowledge of English at a level not lower than Pre Intermediate.

- Safety rules, industrial sanitation and hygiene, fire safety, civil defense;

- the School's internal regulations, Policies and Procedures and including those for FDs.

3. The Material Desk Accountant must possess the following skills:

- Have higher professional (economic, accounting or banking) education, or secondary professional education (economic, accounting or banking).

- Possess minimum 1 year of work experience
