We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with a focus on supporting and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our platforms. This is a remote position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing servers, networks, and other critical systems to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Server Management:

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment.

- Monitor server performance, availability, and security, and perform necessary upgrades and patches.

- Troubleshoot server-related issues and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

2. Network Management:

- Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

- Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.

- Optimize network performance for low-latency, high-performance gaming environments.

3. Security Management:

- Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect gaming platforms and user data.

- Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.

- Regularly update and manage security software and systems.

4. Backup and Recovery:

- Develop and implement backup strategies for critical data and systems.

- Ensure regular testing and verification of backups and disaster recovery procedures.

5. Automation and Scripting:

- Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system monitoring.

- Utilize automation and configuration management tools for streamlined operations.

6. Collaboration and Support:

- Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of gaming applications.

- Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and end-users as needed.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a high-traffic web environment.

- Proficiency in network management and security.

- Strong scripting skills and experience with automation tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with gaming servers and platforms.

- Knowledge of database management and optimization.

- Relevant certifications in system administration, networking, or cloud services.
