The successful candidate will be responsible for servng students within the framework of the British curriculum, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment that inspires students to explore the wonders of life sciences. Key Responsibilities: - Academic Counseling as assisting students in academic planning and goal setting. - - Providing guidance on course selection, academic programs, and graduation requirements.
- Working with students to develop study skills, time management strategies, and academic improvement plans.
- Monitoring students' progress, identifiying any academic concerns, and providing interventions or referrals as needed.
- Addressing students' personal and social concerns and providing individual or group counseling to help students navigate issues such as self-esteem, peer relationships, bullying, stress management, and conflict resolution.
- Supporting students facing personal challenges, such as family problems, grief, or mental health issues, and connect them with appropriate resources or services.
- Assisting students in exploring post-secondary education and career options.
- Providing information on college admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and career pathways.
- Helping students assess their interests, skills, and goals to make informed decisions about their future and organizing college fairs, career workshops, and individualized career planning sessions to support students' college and career readiness.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
- School counselors collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of their programs and interventions. They may conduct surveys, assessments, and evaluations to measure students' progress, satisfaction, and outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
Teaching certification or qualification recognized for teaching Biology in a British curriculum setting.
Strong knowledge of the British curriculum standards and assessment practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
