We are hiring a Local Instructional Supervisor (LIS) The Local Instructional Supervisor (LIS), is firmly committed to providing the highest quality service to both external and internal customers. The LIS is responsible for the quality delivery of instruction of the German Academy project partnering with the Manager of Instruction (MI) and Language Center Director (LCD) in managing the experience of external and internal customers and the performance of the LC; By ensuring Berlitz standards in implementation of the Berlitz Learning Cycle and the Berlitz Instructor Qualification Program (IQP) for instructors, the LIS actively influences the retention of customers. Together with the MI and LCD, the LIS is in charge of uniform implementation of Berlitz quality standards at the LC. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Actively support the MI and LCD in improving financial indicators, working together to manage cost and other operational efficiencies. Work together with the MI, LCD all LC staff members to manage the Berlitz Learning Cycle at the LC: assessment; needs analysis; counseling; customer feedback; program improvement; development and delivery of specialized programs; management of student records (i.e., progress cards, progress reports, enrollment records, etc.) Work together with the MI, LCD and all LC staff to present a professional image of Berlitz, greet customers, and introduce Berlitz to customers, set goals and expectations, both at the language center and during offsite sales presentations or meetings Manage the integration and use of all components of the teaching programs running at the LC Play an active role in preparing special programs to match customer needs Teach 86 hours per month in order to maintain regular contact with customers and to support instructors in their teaching and counseling duties •Promote LC activities to customers Promote LC activities to customers Take a leadership position and work together with the MI, LCD and LC staff to set targets, set team-based initiatives, measure and track performance and evaluation Practice the Five Operating Principles and Berlitz Customer Service standards as a guide to professional behavior and professional relationships Be informed of national work practices, internal work rules, policies and procedures Complete all required documentation: employee records, customer reports, monthly Training & Quality Report (LIS Report), etc. Together with the MI and LCD implement and manage the Berlitz Recruitment Process for instructors Manage the development of all instructors at the LC according to the Berlitz Instructor Qualification Program for Instructors, coordinating and delivering ongoing training and providing appropriate direction and support Manage the ongoing development of Instructors, providing appropriate support and direction, and coordinating any training that will qualify them for further roles at Berlitz, such as supporting in-coming instructors, conducting LC Orientations, etc. Communicate the availability of other positions to instructors on an ongoing basis. Be fully familiar with the Instructor Qualification Program (IQP) for both Adults and Kids & Teens instructors, as well as being fully familiar with Berlitz online training portals Deliver initial Adult and Kids & Teens instructor training according to IQP guidelines, as necessary and in liaison with the MI, LCD and Franchise Support Ensure uniform roll out of new curricula and programs Coordinate skills or product training and additional workshops to instruction and non-instruction staff, using the appropriate method and technology, according to the needs of the LC and in liaison with the MI, LCD and Franchise Support Work together with the MI and LCD to identify performance gaps and take active steps for improvements in the quality of instruction and service delivery Manage ongoing instructor performance evaluation for all instructors at the LC according to Berlitz IQP guidelines and standards Work together with the MI and LCD to conduct annual General Performance Review (GPR) of all instructional staff Together with the MI and LCD consistently communicate company vision, strategy, and objectives Actively seek professional self-development opportunities, with direction and support from the MI, LCD and Franchise Support |
