The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Java Developer to join its team for working with a company from the United Kingdom. The customer is the world's leading competitive gaming and esports platform. It provides unique solutions for players, publishers, developers, and partners. The company offers online and offline competitions, digital platforms, and gaming lifestyle festivals. The project is a leading competitive gaming platform with over 25 million users. Technology stack on the project: Java 11, Spring Boot, RESTful/gRPC, NoSQL, SOLID/DRY, Docker/Kubernetes, GCP. Responsibilities: - Participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, peer reviews, documentation, testing and deployment.
- Designing and developing distributed APIs and scheduled procedures.
- Solving complex technical requirements or issues by leading analysis and development.
- Working with the latest tools and continually learning and developing your skillset.
- Contributing to team meetings.
- Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Developing any required proof-of-concept work as part of the technical design process.
- Being responsible for the Code Level Design, Organization of code, use of patterns for the successful implementation of a solution.
- Writing technical and solution design specifications.
- Supporting users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
- Completing other tasks that fall within this role's remit.
Must-haves: - Commercial experience with Java (Spring Boot) on large scalable projects for 4+ years.
- Ability to design distributed APIs and scheduled procedures.
- Experience working within a large Microservices environment.
- Excellent knowledge of RESTful/gRPC or APIs.
- Good understanding of Async communication.
- Proven experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Ability to follow SOLID or DRY principles.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- In-depth understanding of testing.
- Previous experience working on large complex applications.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Nice-to-haves: - Commercial experience with Go.
- Passion for video games and esports.
