We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our supply chain operations, from order processing to transportation management. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. Key Responsibilities: - Order Processing: Receive and process customer orders with precision, verifying product availability and managing any order changes or cancellations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand, minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to place orders, track shipments, and ensure the timely delivery of materials or products.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate the transportation of goods by selecting carriers, scheduling shipments, and tracking deliveries. Focus on cost-effective and efficient shipping methods.
- Documentation: Manage and maintain shipping and customs documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Cost Control: Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation, storage, and inventory management.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve logistical issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in orders. Be proactive in finding solutions to unexpected challenges.
- Communication: Coordinate with various departments within the company, such as production and procurement, to ensure alignment and smooth information flow.
- Customer Service: Provide support and updates to customers regarding the status of their orders, delivery times, and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Customs Clearance & Compliance: Ensure familiarity with national and international logistics regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and safety standards.
- Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction or process optimization.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to logistical emergencies, such as product recalls or supply chain disruptions, to minimize negative impacts on operations.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Data Handling: Work with large volumes of data, utilizing data analysis and processing tools such as Excel.
- Team Management: Coordinate and manage the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of national and international logistics regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle logistical emergencies effectively.
- Experience in team management is a plus.
